Norwich travels away to face West Brom this weekend as they look to end an 11-match winless streak in all competitions.
Fans will be encouraged by the performance against Manchester City last week as Norwich fought hard to draw 0-0 against the Champions League quarter-finalists.
It was easily the best defensive performance that Norwich have produced all season and Alex Neil must stick by the defence that did him proud last weekend.
There are sure to be a couple of changes in the forward position, however. Nathan Redmond is missing from the clash with injury and so Neil will have to decide who comes back into the team in his place.
Alex Neil has been moaned at a lot this season for chopping and changing his team selections far too much. However, I would like to think he has learned his lesson after 30 matches and this is the team I expect to line-up against West Brom…
John Ruddy
He made a fine save from Sergio Aguero last week and has been average since he came back into the team. He hasn’t made any clear-cut errors to be dropped from the team.
Russell Martin
Martin has bared the brunt of a lot of critics this season due to his poor performances in central defence. However, he has looked far better when playing at right back and deserves to start.
Ryan Bennett
Bennett and Timm Klose have formed a solid partnership at the back, it seems, and Alex Neil must persevere with the duo.
Timm Klose
He has been Norwich’s best player by a mile since he signed. Easy choice.
Martin Olsson
Was very good on his return to the side last week, has to start again this week to show his worth.
Gary O'Neil
With Alex Tettey out for the season, O’Neil is the only real option that can play. He was superb last weekend and deserves his spot.
Jonny Howson
He picks himself really. I haven’t seen him have a bad game for months. So consistent. Must start.
Steven Naismith
If fit, he must come in. With Nathan Redmond injured, Naismith looks a shoe in to start on the right.
Wes Hoolahan
Wes didn’t have a good game last weekend but he must start when fit. His assist and goal, numbers this season prove it.
Robbie Brady
If Brady is back from injury, he must start. Matt Jarvis wasn’t great against Manchester City and Brady will relish being in an attacking position.
Patrick Bamford
Bamford is an obvious choice up top. He was very good against Manchester City and deserves a start for sure.
