Speaking to Norwich’s website, Ryan Bennett has said that he just wants to keep working hard in an attempt to turn Norwich’s form around.
The Canaries are currently on a dismal run, with no wins in ten matches in all competitions. Norwich have lost nine of those ten matches and not really shown too many signs of turning it around.
Poor team selections and tactics from Alex Neil seem to be costing the club time and again since the turn of the year and it must be frustrating for the players as well. The side finally found some better performances against West Ham, Leicester and Chelsea but saw their hard work go unrewarded with some poor finishing from Cameron Jerome, who should be nowhere near a Premier League team.
Ryan Bennett was left, disgracefully, on the bench by Alex Neil as the manager picked Russell Martin to start in central defence. Bennett came on in the first-half to replace an injured Robbie Brady and didn’t do too much wrong.
Speaking after the match, Bennett said this:
They scored and we didn’t, it’s as simple as that.
We just need to keep going. We’re putting a lot of effort into games but that counts for nothing when you’re losing.
We have nine games left and that’s what we need to focus on in order to stay up. We need to find the recipe to win matches; to score goals and get points.
That’s it. It doesn’t matter how we do it.
