Possible loan opportunity for Norwich forward
Speaking to The Eastern Daily Press, Norwich manager Alex Neil has said there may be an opportunity for Kyle Lafferty to move out on loan, possibly to Leeds.
This question comes back time and time again and the answer remains the same. Kyle Lafferty had an opportunity to go on loan. He didn’t but that was his choice.
If someone else comes in and pays his wages then there is an opportunity for him to go. Nobody has got to that figure so nothing has changed in that respect.
Lafferty has been linked with a move away from the club since last summer now. He has been consistently linked with Championship side Leeds and it was thought that he would seal a loan move there last month.
However, a move for Lafferty never surfaced and Lafferty has had to sit at Norwich, not playing games and wasting his time. Alex Neil has said that if a team is willing to pay his wages, then there is an opportunity for him to go out on loan.
Lafferty wants a loan move to increase his game time ahead of the European Championships in the summer. He will be representing Northern Ireland and will want to be in the best shape possible to showcase his talents.
