It finished level between Norwich City and West Ham United earlier today, in a game which will leave Norwich fans bewildered as to why they only picked up one point from the match.

After a relatively quiet first half, Robbie Brady gave Norwich the lead before Wes Hoolahan doubled their lead shortly after. The Irons got one back through Dimitri Payet before Mark Noble put the nail in the coffin.

Norwich defender Sebastien Bassong spoke to Norwich City TV after the game:

All of a sudden, having managed the game, things change. You can’t take credit away from West Ham, but we obviously didn’t do enough to win.

Bassong spoke about how the team felt throughout the match and the mood of the camp after the game:

Going into the game we felt confident, and that showed on the pitch. Afterwards we’re disappointed; there are still some things we need to correct as we should have managed things better.

If we show that overall mentality though, and that drive, we can have hope.

The Cameroonian also spoke highly about his defensive partner Timm Klose, who the club brought in from Wolfsburg earlier this month:

Timm has just arrived in England but he’s a good player. He’s going to bring experience from playing in Germany and has adapted to football here really quickly, which is encouraging. It’s about communication, whoever plays in central defence.

Bassong also mentioned about how Norwich go about things for the remaining games of the season:

We’ve just got to try and correct things in order to keep going. A lot of what we can take today is really positive and if we carry on that way I’m sure things will be good.

Up next for the Canaries is a trip to Leicester on the 27th February.
