According to The Daily Mail, Kyle Lafferty has had his proposed move to FC Sion break down just over 24 hours away from the transfer deadline.
The window closes 11pm tomorrow night and Lafferty was hoping that he would be a Sion player by then…. that dream has now faded.
He will have to finds himself another club to join and soon, or his chances of being in Northern Ireland’s squad at the European Championships in the summer may begin to diminish.
Lafferty has been linked with moves to Leeds, Wolves and Palermo this month in addition to Sion but it remains to be seen where he will be come Tuesday. He will be hoping it isn’t Norwich.
With the signing of Patrick Bamford yesterday, Lafferty has fallen further down the pecking order at Norwich. He is now behind Dieumerci Mbokani, Cameron Jerome, Patrick Bamford and Steven Naismith in the running.
