Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has given Bamford the all-clear to join Norwich as they near a deal to sign Alex Pato from Brazil. The signing of Pato will allow Bamford to join Norwich and get some much-needed game time.
There had been reports that the Norwich offer was for Bamford to join them on a permanent deal, however, the Daily Star believe it to be a loan deal for the England under-21 international.
The deal could potentially be a loan with an option to buy, which would suit both clubs. This would allow Norwich to see whether or not they would like Bamford in the long-term and it would allow Chelsea to evaluate just how good the forward is.
Bamford was on loan at Crystal Palace earlier in the season but failed to score a goal. He will be hoping that if the Norwich move goes through, he can improve on his earlier form and prove his doubters wrong.
