Former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes that Wolfsburg defender Timm Klose would be a great signing for Norwich City.
Speaking on BT Sport’s ‘Fletch and Sav’ show, Hargreaves is also surprised that no “bigger” teams have tried to sign the Swiss international in the transfer window.
Timm Klose has found it hard to hold down a starting place in his time at Wolfsburg, mainly down to the sheer quality of his competition. The Swiss international has to compete with Brazillian defender Naldo, who has interested a number of top European clubs, and another highly rated Brazilian in Dante. However, he has still managed to pick up over 30 appearances for Die Wölfe and has UEFA Champions League and international experience.
Hargreaves spoke about how he believes that Klose is a great player, believing that Norwich have picked up a bargain by signing the Swiss central defender.
A terrific player, It’ll be a great signing for Norwich if it goes through. He’s a left footed centre back, a terrific player. Played terrific for Wolfsburg last season, Dante has come in and taken his place. I am suprised that a team even higher up hasn’t come in and taken him, but he will be a terrific player for them, especially in that relegation battle.
