Norwich City have reportedly entered the race to sign Genoa central defender Sebastian De Maio.
The Canaries are thought to have made an approach for the 28-year-old defender but do face competition from two other Serie A sides in Fiorentina and Bologna. Both are admirers of De Maio and would be interested in a deal.
Genoa are willing to accept an offer in the region of €4-5m for the Frenchman as they see that as an acceptable price. This would be no problem for Norwich, who have plenty of money to spend over the course of this month, aided by the sale of Lewis Grabban to Bournemouth.
Norwich have been linked with a number of defenders over the course of this window and De Maio looks like one of the more likely options due to his lower price tag.
Alex Neil will be hoping he could pull off any potential deal soon so that he can get them in the squad as soon as possible.
