Pinto unlikely to play against Stoke
Norwich City manager Alex Neil has hinted that tomorrow’s clash with Stoke could be too soon for Ivo Pinto to make his Norwich debut.
The Portuguese right back signed for the Canaries last Friday from Dinamo Zagreb and was not involved against Manchester City in the FA Cup (but was unveiled in front of the crowd).
Norwich travel to Stoke having won three of the their last four fixtures in the Premier League but are unlikely to have Pinto in the team to help extend that run. This is because Neil has said it will take him time to adapt to English football and will need a few more training sessions under his belt.
Ivo is going to take a little bit of time to adjust himself to the Premier League in terms of getting a few sessions under his belt.
He’s trained twice and he’s just come off a mid-season break as well, so he’s not been playing in the last two or three weeks.
Coming into the match, Russell Martin is expected to start on the right side of defence. He has been slotting in there recently as Norwich have kept back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season (Aston Villa and Southampton).
