Norwich City have spoken to the agent of Brentford defender James Tarkowski about the possibility of him making a move to Carrow Road, according to Lyall Thomas of West London Sport.
The 23-year-old was expected to make a move to fellow Championship side Burnley, but Brentford rejected their bid of £2.5million earlier in the month and a follow-up bid has yet to be made.
Interest in the defender is high, with Lyall reporting that Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom are all interested in making a move to sign him.
Tarkowski was raised in Manchester and is apparently keen on a move close to home, which would make Burnley the obvious choice for him, however, the chance to play at the highest level for the Canaries could be too big an opportunity to turn down if a deal can be done with Brentford.
Tarkowski has been a mainstay in the Bees’ side this season, featuring in 22 of their 25 Championship fixtures.
