Norwich nearing completion of Pinto deal
Reports in Croatia today indicate that Norwich are close to announcing the signing of Ivo Pinto from Dinamo Zagreb.
The fee is believed to be €3m (£2.2m), but could grow to €4m (£2.9m) with add-ons.
The report suggests that Pinto has been in England for the last five days, and the transfer has been unable to be finalised, due to the Bank Holidays surrounding New Year leading the FA offices being closed. Pinto was in attendance for Norwich’s 1-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend. Pinto is believed to have undergone a medical on Wednesday in Norwich.
The transfer will be announced on Monday 4th January, with the paperwork being completed in the morning of that day. The transfer will be confirmed with the FA that morning, before the clubs announcing it within hours.
The signing would become Norwich’s second of the transfer window, with Matt Jarvis having become a permanent Norwich player on Saturday.
