As Alex Tettey scored his second goal of the season, Norwich grabbed a valuable three points to make it three wins out of four. After a first half with nearly no goals in any league, Norwich scored as a reaction to Victor Wanyama getting sent off after a bad foul on substitute Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe on the 73rd minute, just three minutes later Odjidja-Ofoe cut into the box and let a cutback for Alex Tettey to blast into the top left corner from 16 yards, leaving goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg to sit and watch as the crowd erupted. Southampton dominated for most of the game, of which was bland and Norwich will be feeling lucky that they have scraped a vital three points.
In truth, it was a good performance from certain players today in defence and midfield as they showed character and strength to go past a poor-form, yet defiant Southampton.
